Wearing glasses
The diagram consists of three pieces of Graduation photos, and it’s quite easy to find an interesting phenomenon that when students grown up to get higher education, there are more and more students wearing glasses. Indeed, as a college student myself, it’s common to see my fellow students wearing glasses. In my opinion, the society should be responsible for it, because the students had to spend much time in study to compete with others and to get better learning conditions. There is also pressure from parents, and some of them urged their kids to study hard day and night so that the kids might be outstanding in class. However, there are also reasons from the students, as the technology nowadays developing rapidly, there are various electronic devices in market, thus surfing internet and playing games occupied most of their time which do harm to their eyesight a lot. In a word, to solve this problem, the society should pay more attention to the youth, and we youth should protect our eyesight.
Chinese University graduates PK overseas returnees
It seems to be a sad story for overseas returnees because through the diagram we can see that there are two employees carrying tortoise shells on their backs, and they looks confused and sad because they are both rejected by the employer for their lack of the actual working capacity. In Chinese, a tortoise shell pronounces the same as the
overseas returnees, thus it implies the one studying abroad. Meanwhile, the tortoise shell(龟壳)doesn’t like a usual one, which has some copper coins (铜钱)on it, thus it means that the returnees spend a huge amount of money to study abroad. The picture reveals a phenomenon that there is a sharp increasing tendency to study broad, but many of the returnees gain nothing useful, when they return their motherland hoping to get an ideal job and they fail undoubted. This story tells us that what matters most is not external factor but our inner capacity, and we should realize the importance of grasping the actual working ability.
Public morality
This diagram reveals(揭露) a serious social problem by the form of irony. There are two young women dressed quite fashionable standing on the one side, totally ignoring the old woman who is carrying a heavy burden and a full basket looks hard. What’s more, one of the young women says that if the famous good person: Lei Feng still lived, the old woman won’t suffering like this.
It shows that the society has gradually missing the public morality, and what a pity it is! Each of us should have a self-reflection(自我反省) instead of complaining about the increasing callous society(日渐冷酷的社会). Maybe the first step to change regain public morality is to regain everyone’s morality, that is, to care more about others, to be more
kind-heated and just to make your ideal society into reality with all your efforts.
Environmental protection
This cartoon shows us a common but a serious problem this world, that is, to protect the environment. There is an evil-like cartoon character named sandstorm pursuing a panic person who has just
discarded an ax with a word “felling” on it. What can’t be ignored is that the whole ground has been all cut down.
This picture is named after: Revenge. Indeed, the sandstorm is nature’s revenge. We human beings are always so greedy, in order to satisfy our own demand we destroy the ecological balance. We are also reckless(不计后果的) so as to we ignore the sustainable development, although the revenge is horrible, they are our own makings. This sends us a message that while there is still some time for us to realize our faults, and it’s the time for us to pay every effort to protect the environment.
