一、 说明

1、 课程的性质、地位和任务

随着我国改革开放的逐步深化和日益扩大, 我国的对外经济贸易迅速发展。而国际贸易函电是开展外贸业务和有关活动的重要工具,也是国际商务往来经常使用的联系方式。本课程就是为了适应我国形势式发展的需要,根据我校注重应用型、复合型人才的培养模式而开设的一门英语专业的商务英语模块的选修课。本课程旨在帮助学生提高运用英语的技能,掌握外贸函电的基础知识,了解其各种行文方式,专业词语及语言文体特点,从而提高学生在日后的对外经贸工作中正确地使用英语及对外进行各项业务联系的独立工作能力。

2、 课程教学的基本要求

本课程宜安排在学生已有一定的英语基础和经贸业务知识的情况下开设,可安排在第六学期。在讲授中要注重外贸函电的基础知识的传授和学生基本技能的培养。可根据商务英语函电的特点,结合当前我国对外经贸业务通讯的实际,确定课文情景、业务环节和功能项目训练等。同时结合每课的情景,有系统地介绍有关外贸函电的语言特点、写作技巧和使用习惯等基础知识。并且要侧重与实际业务的紧密结合,使学生通过实例,举一反三,学以致用,学会撰写得体的英语信函和草拟有关业务的和约、协议等。课堂教学应以学生为主体,多开展以任务为中心的教学活动,调动学生的学习积极性,培养其学习能力和实际应用能力。

3、 课程教学改革

根据当前我国对外经贸业务通讯的实际情况,将教材中的第六单元的电信改为学生自学,以了解信息,另加电子商务的情况(1学时),并在内容较多的第十单元支付方式上增加1学时。同时,还加强对各种证件知识的讲解,如信用证、售货确认书、发票、保单、装箱单、海运提单等。另外在函电写作的同时还注重了合同和协议的写作。

三、 本课程考核方式、方法

本课程的考核主要分为平时的课堂表现及作业完成情况占总成绩 的30%,学期结束时的笔试成绩(开卷考试)为总成绩的70%。
